Heute sind wir dann endlich in Juayua angekommen. Juayua ist ein kleines Dorf, wo eigentlich nur am Wochenende was los ist, wenn auf dem Dorfplatz ein grosser Essensmarkt ist und viele Leute aus San Salvador zu Besuch kommen. Die andere Attraktion ist der schwarze Christus in der Kirche. Ich glaube, die Hamburger fanden den Essensmarkt nicht so klasse, da sie beide vegetarier sind. Aber ich hab das beste Steak gegessen, dass ich bisher in Zentralamerika hatte.
Am nächsten morgen sind wir zu den Los Chorros de Calera gewandert, eine Reihe von Wasserfällen, die aus dem Felsen kommen. Eine nette Wanderung und wunderschöne Wasserfälle mit kleinen Schwimmbecken perfekt für einen Sprung ins kühle Nass. Nachmittags gings dann weiter nach Tacuba von wo man den Parque National El Impossible erkunden kann. Manolo ist der einzige Guide dort und das haus seiner Eltern ist ein gemütlicher Platz zum Schlafen für Backpacker. Nur hat manolo leider schon die Dollaraugen bekommen und hat völlig unrealistische Preise. Aber dafür haben wir die besten und billigsten Popusas in El Salvador gefunden. Soooo lecker!

Today we finally arrived in Juayua. This is a small town only filled with life on the weekends, when they have a big food fare on the central plaza and many people from San Salvador come to visit. The other attraction of the town is the black christ in the church. I guess the two Hamburg guys were not too happy with the food fare, as they are vegetarians. But I definitly had the best steak I ever ate here in central america.
The next moring we hiked to Los Chorros de Calera a series of waterfalls coming out of the rocks. A nice hike and gorgeous falls with little swimmingpools at the bottom to take a dip. In the afternoon we headed on to Tacuba from where you can explore the Parque National El Impossible. Manolo is the guy to go with and his parents house makes a nice place to stay for backpackers. Unfortunately Manolo already got the Dollar eyes and has incredibly unrealistic prices. But the Pupusa place we found was the best and cheapest we have seen so far in El Salvador. very yummy!
