Nix interessantes heute. Managua (Hauptstadt von Nicaragua) ist keine besonders schöne Stadt und ich bin da nur zum Einkaufen hin. Ein neues Kabel für meine Kamera, so dass ich endlich diese Bilder runterladen kann, damit ihr sie jetzt sehen könnt, und ich wollte eigentlich eine taucherbrille kaufen, was aber nicht geklappt hat in diesem Kaff von Hauptstadt. Das andere, was wir suchten war eine Kamera für das Israelische Mädel, das mich begleitet hat - was auch nicht ganz so einfach war. Eigentlich wollten wir auf dem Rückweg noch den Vulkan Masaya angucken, aber wir haben zu viel Zeit in Managua verbracht, so dass wir direkt zurückt nach Granada sind, wo ich endlich die Bilder runterladen konnte.

Nothing interesting today. Managua (Nicaraguas capital) is not a nice city and I just went there to go shoping. A new cable for my camera to download thoses damn pictures so that you can enjoy them right now, and I wanted to find a snorkel mask, which didn't really work out. The other thing we did was to look for a camera for the israelian girl who joined me - which wasn't that easy either. Originally we wanted to stop at the Vulcano Masaya on our way back but we spent too much time running around Managua, so we went straight back to Granada where I finally could download the pictures and started to get them in order.

Eigentlich wollte ich heute mit der Fähre nach Ometepe fahren. Da die Fähre aber erst um 2 Uhr nachmittags färt hab ich vorher noch mit Adi (der Israelerin) und nem anderen Berliner eine Bootstour durch Las Isletas gemacht. Las Isleats sind ca. 400 kleine Inseln, die bei der letzten Erruption des Mombacho entstanden sind. Eine nette kleine Tour, allerdings hat mein Zeitmanagement nicht ganz funktioniert, weshalb das Sachen holen und zur Fähre kommen etwas hektisch war. Aber als ich um kurz nach 2 dann da war, war immer noch ne Riesenschlange am Ticketoffice. Beim warten aufs Ticket hab ich mich dann auch entschlossen nicht in Ometepe auszusteigen, sondern die ganze 14 Stunden Tour zu machen und nach San Carlos zu fahren um mir den Rio San Juan anzugucken.

Today I originally wanted to go by ferry to Ometepe. But since the ferry did not leave until 2pm I went together with Adi (the israelian girl) and another guy from Berlin on a little boattrip to Las Isletas. Las Isletas are about 400 little islands in the Lago de Nicaragua which were formed at one of the last erruptions of Mombacho. A nice little tour, although my time management did not leave me too much time to get my stuff and get to the ferry. But when I arrived ther a little after 2pm, there was still a huge line waiting to buy a ticket. That was also the point where I decided to not get off the ferry in Ometepe, but to do the 14 hour boat ride to San Carlos to see the river San Juan.
