Utila - das komische aber so lustige Tauch- und Partyparadis. Voll mit Touristen, aber irgendwie ne witzige Community. Nachdem ich die erste Nacht in Altons Diveshop verbracht habe, bin ich ins Mango Inn umgezogen, mein $3 pro Nacht - wenn man Tauchkurse mit dem Utila Dive Center macht - Luxushotel mit Swimmingpool. Und da hab ich auch meine so lustigen amerikanischen springbreak Roommates aus Kentucky kennengelernt. Mensch hatten wir spaßige Nächte. Ein ganz schöne Herausforderung für meine Fastenzeit ohne Rauchen und Trinken, aber ich habs gepackt. Und ich hatte sooooo viel Spaß... viel zu viele Geschichten um sie hier zu erzählen, aber wir hatten u.a. Leute so betrunken, dass sie sich einpinkeln, schamlose Nacktheit, 6 nimmt, und natürlich ne Menge Party und Alk...

Utila - the weird but fun diving and party paradise. Full of Tourists but somehow a fun community. After spending the first night at Altons Diveshop I moved to the Mango Inn, my $3 per night - if you take diving classes with the Utila Dive Center - luxery hotel with swimmingpool. And thats also where I met my really fun american springbreak roommates from Kentucky. God we had some fun nights. A bit of a challange though, as it was lent - as every year 7 weeks without smoking and drinking for me. But I made it and had so much fun... Way many storries to tell but it includes people peeing themselves, some shameless nudity, 6 nimmt, and of course a lot of partying and booze...

Außer feiern kann man noch Tauchen auf Utila und das ist einfach soooo cool. Könnte Süchtig machen, wenn es micht so teuer wäre (und Utila ist einer der billigsten Pläze der Welt zum Tauchen). Ich hab den Open Water und Advanced Kurs gemacht und hatte einfach eine genialen Lehrerin (danke Jules!!!). Und ich hab so viele coole Sachen gesehen: Meeresschildkröten, Aale, Adlerrochen(heißen die so auf deutsch?), wunderschöne Korallen, so viele verschiedene Fische, von denen ich wahrscheinlich ne die Namen lernen werde und Walhaie!!! Und wir konnten sogar einmal ne Kamera mitnehmen und Fotos machen...

Apart from partying you can also scuba dive on Utila and that is really so much fun. Almost edictive if it wasn't that expensive (and Utila is one of the cheapest places in the world to dive). I did the open water and advanced dive courses and had an amazing teacher (thank you Jules!!!). And I saw so much cool stuff: sea turtles, morays, eagle rays, beautyful corals, so many different cool fish I probably will never know the name of and whalesharks!!! And we even got to take a camera once and take some pictures...
