Ein bißchen durch San Pedro laufen, aber wie gesagt: keine wirklich schöne Stadt. Dannach gings nach La Ceiba - dem jump off Punkt für die Bay Islands. Aber vorher wollte ich noch auf eine Rafting Tour auf dem Rio Cangrejal. Nachdem ich die Zeiten fürs Rafting morgen ausgecheckt hatte, hab ich nen bißchen die Stadt erkundet, war im Internet und Mall einkaufen - yep selbst hier sind sie schon so amerikanisiert.

Walking a little bit through San Pedro but as I said: not really a nice town. After that I went on to La Ceiba - the jump off point for the bay islands. But before I wanted to do some river rafting on the Rio Cangrejal. After I found out about everything about the rafting for tomorrow, I walked around town a little, did some Internet and went mall shopping - yep even here they are already that much americanized.

Der raftig Trip war wirklich cool. Wir sind um *:00 Uhr morgens zur Jungle River Lodge gefahren wo schon nen Engläder und zwei skandinavische Mädels gewartet haben. Im Trip ist eine Nacht auf der Lodge enthalten und die Lodge ist worklich wunderschön. Direkt am Fluß, schöne Aussicht, gute Bademöglichkeiten - perfekt! Und das Rafting war wirklich cool. Zuerst ein bißchen Training und im Fluß spielen und dann der eignetliche Trip. Sehr, sehr coole Zeit. Dannch bin ich dann nochmal ein bißchen den Fluß hochgewandert, hab ein wenig gelesen, gebadet und Fotos gemacht. Lustige Steinformationen, u.a. eine, die wie nen Walkopf aussieht. Der Engländer und ich waren die einzigen, die in der Lodge gepennt haben und so hatten wir einen lustigen Kartenspiel und Quatschabend - oh ja, immer dieses Mädels...

The rafting trip was really fun. We drove up to the river jungle lodge at 8:00 am in the morning where already an english guy and two scandinavian girls were waiting. The trip includes one night at the lodge which is really gorgeous. Directly at the river, nice view, nice spots to swim - perfect! And the rafting was really fun as well. First all the training and playing in the river and then the actual trip. I had a blast! After that I hiked up the river again a liitle bit to read, swim and take some pictures. Funny stone formations amongst others one that looks like the head of a whale. For the night me and the english guy where the only ones left at the lodge and we had a really nice card playing and talking night - oh yeah always those girls...

Heute gings auf die andere Seite vom Fluß wo der Pico Bonito Nationalpark anfängt. Es gibt einen Trail hoch zu nem Waseerfall, den man vom Fluß aus oben in den Bergen sehen kann. Der Eingang zum Park ist auf nem Familiengrundstück und nen kleiner Junge wollte mich den Trail hochführen für ein kleines Trinkgeld - den ganzen Weg barfuß. Wirklich schö, obwohl wir den Trail mehr hochgerannt sind. Nach ein bißchen Sonnenbaden und lesen ging es dann zurück nach La Ceiba von wo ich die Fähre nach Utila genommen hab. Endlich tauchen...

Today I went to the other side of the river where the Pico Bonito National Park starts. There is a trail up to a waterfall that you can see up in the mountains from the river. The entrance to the park is at a families property and a little boy wanted to guide me up for a little tip - all the way barefoot. It was really fun although we where rather running up the trail. After some more sun bathing and swimming in the river I went back to La Ceiba from where I took the ferry to Utila. Finally diving...
