Ging schon wieder viel besser heute. Tat alles noch ein bißchen weh, aber ich konnte mich immerhin wieder bewegen. Also zurück in den Bus nach Santa Rosa und von da nach Copan Ruinas. Viel zu viele Touristen hier. Obwohl das Dorf eigentlich ganz nett ist. Wie auch immer die Hauptattraktion hier sind die Maya Ruinen. Und die hab ich mir dann Fritag früh auch angeguckt. Schon beeindruckend all die Stela und Tempel. Der wichtigste Fund hier ist die hieroglyphische Treppe. Unverständlich für mich wie sie die wieder zusammengesetzt haben - von den 63 Stufen waren nur 6 oder so an der orginalen Position als sie die gefunden haben - und wie sie überhaupt irgendwas von diesen oft schlecht erhaltenen Hieroglyphen lesen können. Aber am beeindruckensten ist zu sehen, wie die Natur sich ihren Platz zurück erkämpft und all die Bäme und Pflanzen, die aus den Tempeln und Struckturen wachsen.

Felt much better today. Everything still kind of hurted but I was able to move again. So back in the bus to Santa Rosa and from there to Copan Ruinas. Way to many tourists there!!! Although the town is kind of nice. However the main thing to do in Copan Ruinas is to visit the Maya Ruins near town. And that's what I did friday early in the morning. Amazing all those temples and stela. The most important thing there is the hieroglyphic stairway. It's unbelievable to me how they put it together again - of the 63 steps only the first 6 or so where in order when they found it - and how they can read anything of those often badly preserved hieroglyphs. The most amazing thing is however to see how nature is taking back its room and all those trees and plants growing out of the temples and structures.
