Heuet hab ich Honduras schon wieder verlassen und bin weiter nach El Salvador. Aber, nach El Salvador werde ich zurück kommen, um den Rest von Honduras zu erkunden. Der erste Stop in El Salvador was Perquin, ein kleines Bergdorf hauptsächlich bekannt wegen des Krieges, wo es das Hauptquartier der Revolutionäre (FMLN) war. Auf dem Gipfel kann man immer noch die Bombenkrater und Schützengräben sehen. Tja, und ich kann euch einen weiteren Bilderbuchsonnenuntergang präsentieren. Sonst gibt es noch ein ganz interessantes kleines Museum über den Krieg, wo es sogar Plakate von deutschen Anti-Kriegsdemos gibt.

Today I left Honduras already and contiuned on to El Salvador. However, after El Salvador I will come back to explore the rest of Honduras. The first stop in El Salvador was Perquin, a little mountain village mainly known because of the war, as it was the headquarter of the revolutionaries (the FMLN). At the hilltop you can still see the craters of the bombs and the trenches. Well, and I can show you another picture book sunset from there. Other than that they have a pretty interesting small museum about the war, even containing posters from german anti war demonstrations.

In der Nähe von Perquin ist das Dorf Mozote, wo das Militär an einem Tag über 100 Leute - hauptsächlich Kinder - hingerichtet hat. Diese Kriegsgeschichten ziehen immer ganz schön runter und ins besondere hier in Zentralamerika sind es immer die Interessen (und Waffen) der Amis, die irgendwie ne Rolle spielen...
In der Nähe ist der Rio Sapo, was ein sehr schöner und großer Fluß sein soll. Naja, ich glaub, ich hab ihn nicht wirklich gefunden, aber ich hab "meinen" Wasserfall (ja, ich mag die Dinger) gefunden mit nem schönen kleinen Schwimmbecken.

Near Perquin is the town of Mozote, where militaries executed a over a houndred people - mostly children - on one day. Those war storries are always hard to take and especially here in central america it is always those interests (and weapons) from the US that are involved...
Near by is the rio sapo, which is supposed to be a really nice and big river. Well, I guess I did not really find it, but I found "my" waterfall (yes I like those things) with a nice little swimming hole.
