Another day of traveling. We started early in the morning, but it also was a long journey with a lot of bus riding, changing busses, ferry riding, bus riding... But it worked out pretty well and the closer we came to the ocean, the mote sun we had.
Finding a hostel in Montezuma unfortunately wasn't that easy. Everything was pretty packed but eventually we found a room in a pretty big, not so cosy hostel.
And then finally: sun, beach, ocean... And like so often in the small world og travelling we met some old friends. This time it was Vera (a German girl Sandra had met on her flight to Costa Rics) and Robert (Veras boyfriend, who is touring Central America and whom Vera is visiting). And with those to guys we should be having a lot of fun during the next days...

The next two days were typical beach days: swimming, chilling, going for a walk, chilling, swimming... and at night: party :-)
On one of my strolls on the beach, I had an extensive photo shooting with an iguana, which surprised my reading my book during a break. Furthermore, we explored a beautiful waterfall near the town.
On December, 23rd, i.e. just in time for Christmas we also managed to move to a new hostel: Hotel Lucy. Nicer, quieter, more cozy, and cheaper :-)

Christmas eve was a very eventful and funny day. First, we went to the Reserva Natural Absoluta Cabo Blanco, one of the first national parks in Costa Rica about 10km south of Montezuma. Went there by bus and then had a nice walk through the forrest to the beach and enjoying the nature.
Robert and myself were then pretty quick on the way back and instead of waiting 1.5 hours for the bus, we decided to walk. That was the idea at least. We did not get further than the first bar in the next village :-) which was owned by Jürgen - a German guy (of course).
Well, some Cuba Libres and beers later the bus arrived (with the girls) and picked us up. Next item on the agenda was a very yummy diner, today even with starter and dessert.
Before we started the big Christmas party, I wanted at least to write a quick Christmas email to my loved ones at home. Not really easy, drunk as I was and with an Internet which only works sporadically, and if, taking forever to even load the start page of my email provider... But somehow, I even managed that.
