Im Bus nach Monteverde hab ich dann Sandra getroffen, ein Mädel aus Weimar. Hatten schon auf der Busfahrt viel Spass und haben uns dann in Monteverde zusammen das Serpentarium (eien Schlangenfarm) angeguckt und richtig lecker gekocht.

In the bus towards Monteverde, I met Sandra, a girl from Weimar (a town in eastern Germany). We actually already had a lot of fun during the bus ride and since we had the same destination, we decided to visit the Serpentarium (snake farm) in Monteverde together and afterwards we cooked some really good dinner.

Am nächsten morgen hat es dann ewig gedauert bis wir aus dem Bett gekommen sind. Eigentlich wollten wir in das "Bosque Nuboso" (Wolkenwald) Reservat, aber es hat so doll geregnet und gestürmt, dass wir nach langem hin- und her entschieden haben gleich weiter an die Küste zu fahren, Richtung Sonne, Strand und Meer.
Also, schön gefrühstückt, Sachen gepackt, zum Bus, und... die Sonne scheint. Zwar immer noch stürmisch, aber Sonne. Naja, zuück ins Hostel, frisch gemachtes Zimmer wieder bezogen und auf in den Bus nach Santa Elena zum Bosque Nuboso.

Next morning we slept in really long. The original plan was to go to the "Bosque Nuboso" (cloud forest) reserve, but it was pouring rain and really stormy weather. So after a lot of back and forth we decicded to head on to the coast, towards sun, beach and ocean.
So, yummy breakfast, packing, and heading for the bus, and... all of a sudden the sun came out. Still kind of stormy, but at least it was sunny. OK, back to the hostel, re-occupying the freshly made room and catching the bus to Santa Elena to the Bosque Nuboso.

Und ein Glück, dass wir uns dann doch noch wieder umentschieden haben. Der Wald war total faszinierend. Fast ein bisschen wie im Märchenwald. War zwar alles ziemlich feucht (was will man auch erwarten im Wolkenwald ;-), aber sind fast den ganzen Tag durch den Wald gelaufen.
Und, was für eine kleine Rucksackreisewelt dies doch ist, Andrea und Miek (die beiden Australier) hab ich auch mal wieder getroffen. Durch die Wolken konnten wir dann auch noch wenigstens einen Blick auf den Vulkan Arenal ergattern und beim Warten auf den Bus hat uns ein kleiner Kolibri die Zeit vertrieben.

Good for us, that we changed our plans back again. The forrest was really fascinating, almost like in a fairy tale. It was pretty wet up there (well, we've been in a cloud forrest ;-), but we still almost spent the whole day up there.
And, surprise, the backpackers world is tiny: I met Andrea and Miek from Australia again. Through the clouds we could get kind of a view on the vulcano Arenal and while waiting for the bus back to Monteverde we've been entertained by a little hummingbird.
