Und das Abenteuer beginnt - mit Regen, Regen, Regen... Außerdem noch überschwemmten Straßen, umghestürtze Bäume und dadurch doppelt so lange Fahrzeiten, aber irgendwann bin ich dann angekommen in Cahuita. Viel schlafen, viel lesen, viel Tagebuch schreiben. Aber irgendwann gings dann doch raus in den Nationalpark. Schon faszinieren die Natur- und Tierwelt hier. Abgefahrene Vögel, Schmetterlinge, Affen...
Mein erster Ausflug in den Nationalpark war noch auf total überfluteten Wegen. Am Tag danach war dann schon fast alles wieder getrocknet bzw. abgeflossen.
Außerdem hab ich noch Winston und Steven getroffen. Steven kommt aus Kanada und will sich ein Grundstück für eine Organic Farm kaufen, wobei ihm Winston - ein Local - hilft. Tja und mit denen bin ich dann mit in den Dschungel zum den Platz für das Haus frei zu macheten. Was ein Spaß!

The adventure may begin - with rain, rain, rain. Additionally flooded streets and fallen trees blocking those resulting in doubled travel times, but at some point I really arrived in Cahuita. Lots of sleeping, lots of reading, lots of diary writing. But at some point I dared to go out into the national park. Faszinating nature and wildlife. Strange birds and butterflies and monkeys...
My first trip in the national park was on totally flooded trails. The next day almost everything was dry again.
And I met Winston and Steven. Steven is canadian and wants to buy a property for organic farming and Winston - a local - helps him with that. And with those two guys I went in the dschungle to clear the space for the future house. So much fun!
